About the Maker

Proprietor Bill Menker is a long-time maker, crafting with a variety of materials - from paper and wood to metal, stone, and glass. Bill started blacksmithing in 2018, and expanded into bladesmithing in 2021. He is a member of the Southern Ohio Forge & Anvil, the Artist-Blacksmith’s Association of North America, and the American Bladesmith Society. Some of the smiths Bill has studied under include Charlie Hollis, Cam Plunkett, Jody Durham, Brock Martin, Jesse Bolding, and ABS Mastermiths Kevin Cashen and Steve Dunn.

Bill is a Librarian by day. He conceived and launched Creativity Commons, the makerspace of Washington-Centerville Public Library.
